Leave a Legacy to Biodiversity
A gift for Pacific Biodiversity Institute in your will, trust or other plans will help ensure a rich and enduring heritage of biodiversity for future generations.
PBI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in 1998, and our taxpayer identification number is 31-1602392. There are many different ways that you can arrange a meaningful gift to PBI, and we have described the most common gifts below.
Did you know you can also give to PBI just by shopping at Amazon.com? Bookmark this link to Amazon and use it every time you shop! PBI will receive 0.5% of what you spend at Amazon. We love our Amazon shoppers!
Give the gift of biodiversity in honor of a special occasion, such as a birthday, wedding or anniversary, or to express your sympathy and respect for a loved one by giving a memorial gift in remembrance.
When you give as a tribute, you’ll be asked to provide the name, address, and email for the person you’d like to be notified about your gift.
An announcement will be sent by postal mail or via email to this person when you donate. Give a tribute gift today and make a difference in the world by supporting PBI’s active programs in conservation research, opportunity assessment, and leadership training.
Gifts that provide income
It is possible to establish a gift with cash, appreciated securities or real estate that will support PBI in the future. These options can provide you or a loved one with regular payments, a significant charitable income tax deduction and avoidance of all or part of capital gain taxes.
Gifts through a will or trust
This is one of the most common types of planned gifts. You can arrange to leave PBI a specific dollar amount or asset, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after specific gifts to loved ones have been made.
Gifts through a retirement plan
You can name PBI as the beneficiary of your individual retirement account (IRA), 401(k), 403(b), donor advised fund (DAF), life insurance policy or other account. These gifts are easy to arrange or modify.
Simply complete a beneficiary designation form from your plan administrator to name PBI a beneficiary of all or part of your retirement account or life insurance policy. If the retirement assets are tax-deferred, the portion left to PBI will not be subject to tax.
As a small not-for-profit organization, PBI strives for efficiency of conservation action possible, so that our collective funds achieve maximum impact.
We want to thank you for your generosity!
